Sport Girard Select Pathway (Competitive/Travel) 2023/2024
Girard Select is our advanced programming. Select teams focus on introducing players to different facets of the game, advanced team-based concepts, and complex positional instruction. These teams will travel and face off against other club teams in competitive league and tournament matches. This program is for established soccer players looking to take their game to the next level and potentially play beyond high school.

Description

Participation on this type of competitive team provides the youth soccer player the best competitive environment in our area.  To be part of this group of soccer players requires an incredible amount of time, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. To be able to reach this level of excellence, the Club requires all players to be dedicated to producing a high quality, game intensive practice environment so their practice sessions will develop them to play at game speed.

Players will typically receive 2 one-hour training sessions per week. The Select Pathway includes our United league games (as applicable), friendly club games with similar clubs and at least 2 tournaments.  Players will also be registered into US Club Soccer.  All players will need to provide a copy of their birth certificate and player picture to participate.

Teams will be entered into small-sided and full-sided game leagues into the Erie Sports Center Winter League.  This will provide maximum touches on the ball for players to encourage growth and creativity. Players in grades 3-8 will also receive the school-based league at Erie Premier Sports as in years past. High School players will receive additional league play.  For those players not enrolled in Girard School District and who may be ineligible to play, special accommodations will be made.

This is a full season commitment. For players withdrawing early for reasons other than documented injury, an additional one-month dues will be applied.

 Some travel will be required. Additional tournament fees may apply.
Practice schedules will be released prior to the start of the club season.  Player Uniform information will arrive in a separate email at a later date.

Season: October 30th, 2023 - Memorial Day Weekend 2024
*There will be no training 10/31, Monday 12/25-1/1. No games over holiday weekends

Cost:  $756 payable monthly through online billing of $108/month
All players will pay a $75/registration fee
(Sibling discount of $10/month after first player. Email emma@323athletics.com for code prior to registration.

Uniform:  2 jerseys, 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of socks (ETC = an additional $27 on top of basic $70 United kit)
*This is the same uniform as last season. No need to repurchase if not needed.
