SUMMARY

The Select Pathway is our 7-month season including league games, friendly games and tournaments. Select teams allow players engage in different facets of the game, advanced team-based concepts, and complex positional instruction. These teams will play locally and also travel and face off against other club teams in competitive league and tournament matches. This program is for players looking for a traditional soccer club experience. The season runs November-end of May/first week of June depending on game schedule

All our head coaches are experienced and hold nationally issued soccer coaching licenses/diplomas or have colligate soccer experience.

Open to any player- regardless of school district!

Participation in this pathway provides the youth soccer player the best competitive environment.

Players will typically receive 2 one-hour training sessions per week. The Select Pathway includes league games, friendly club games with similar clubs and approximately 2 local tournaments. All players will need to provide a copy of their birth certificate and player picture to participate. Teams are created within grade and birth year depending on the season, player experience, and ability.

Teams will be entered into regional and local leagues. (Erie Sports Center Indoor League, ORL travel league, Erie ERSC League) Girard School District Players in grades 3-8 will also automatically receive the school-based league at Erie Premier Sports. (If your player does not attend school/live in the Girard School District and will be playing for their home district in the EPS league-special accommodations may be made.

This is a full season commitment. For players withdrawing early for reasons other than documented injury, an additional one-month dues will be applied.

Some travel will be required. Additional tournament fees may apply.

Practice schedules will be released prior to the start of the club season. Player Uniform information will arrive in a separate email at a later date.

Season: November 2 - May/June 2027

Cost: Total Season-$840 divided into 7 $120/monthly installments & $75/registration fee

Uniform: NEW for 2026/2027. Kit includes: 2 jerseys, 2 matching shorts, 2 pair socks. Approximate cost $140 *This kit will also be used for the 2027/2028 season.

GSC Player Responsibilities

All players expected to follow these 6 standards:

Be dedicated to becoming the best soccer player that your physical talents allow you to be.
Be willing to work very hard while enjoying yourself.
Be coachable. Listen to and implement your coach’s instructions quickly and effectively. Ask questions of the coach if the instructions are unclear.
Be an unselfish team player who puts the team’s needs first, before your own. Your team will be more successful if all the players play together.
Be committed to practicing on your own to help develop your soccer abilities. Ask your coach for extra material that you can do on your own at home.
Be available to mentor younger players.
